Hello everyone,
This is my first post here and I am glad to be a member of this forum. My dillema, I have all Zeiss Contax/Yashica lenses, which I believe have been proven to be as good if not better than the current Zeiss ZF mount lenses for Nikon. I have looked all over the internet for an adapter that would allow me to use my lenses on the Nikon F mount of the G35, without any luck. Later, I came across this bit of info on the net:
"The flange focal distance of the Contax/Yashica system measures 45.50 mm while the Nikon system measures 46.50 mm. For this reason, it is impossible to construct an adapter without additional optical lenses, with which Contax/Yashica lenses can be mounted on a Nikon camera."
will there be anyway to use the lenses that i current have on the G35.
Thanks

Thanks The G35 mounts are variable. Meaning that you can set any lens to have a longer or shorter flange depth. So you can actually turn any lens into a macro lens by sliding the mount out or further from the focusing screen ( you won't be able to achieve infinity however) Likewise you can slide the mount closer and achieve a shorter flange depth. So if you can couple the Nikon mount to your lens you can achieve any flange depth desirable. We will be adding more lens mounts as the demand increases. Canon EF are first in line. Thanks!

As soon as the Canon EF mount is available, which I can adapt an Contax/Yashica lens to, My money is yours. A Contax/ Yashica mount would be better, but I won't complain.
