Dana Morris was raised in Orange County, His love for photography emerged early in his high school years when he worked in the darkroom to develop and print his film. When Dana was a junior in high school, he began following the top professional longboard surfers around the world, filming them in remote locations to make his critically acclaimed surfing documentary "Way of Life." Dana fell in love with the craft of filmmaking which led him to attend the Los Angeles Film School. Dana graduated from the Los Angeles Film School in 2005 with a major in cinematography and a minor in directing, and with a 17minute, 35mm short film titled "A Promise," which he directed and shot. "A Promise" was accepted into the first film festival entered, the Queens' International Film Festival in New York. Since then Dana has since finished several short films including his new Surf Documentary titled "Beneath the Surface" which was picked up for distribution by Studio411 and VAS Entertainment. Dana currently works in southern California as DP/operator.
